With today’s announcement of LATAM Airlines Group launching a brand new long-haul flight between Lima International Airport (LIM) in Peru and London Heathrow (LHR) within the UK, it’s time to review the South American company’s long-haul route map. Where does it fly, and what aircraft does it use? Let’s discover.
The brand new launch
On Thursday, LATAM Airlines announced the strengthening of its international product by confirming the launch of its recent London-Lima route. This recent route can have five weekly flights (Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays) and can start on December 2.
That is LATAM’s second non-stop path to London Heathrow. It currently flies each day from Guarulhos International Airport (GRU) in Brazil. The South American company will operate the brand new flight on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (the service between GRU and LHR is operated on LATAM Brasil’s Boeing 777-300).
