Supporting local schools
JetBlue highlighted that the inspiration has had a profound impact on its local communities, comparable to Recent York, including Aviation High School, which relies in Long Island City, Recent York, US. The airline has been supporting the varsity since 2013.
Since then, it has made five grants, totaling over $100,000 to assist the varsity fund and propel its STEM and aviation-related educational programs. This includes technology improvements, more advanced classroom resources, welding labs, on-the-tarmac opportunities, and other advantages. Because of this, the inspiration has had an enduring impact on the varsity’s students through educational opportunities, with several crew members working inside JetBlue’s operations since graduating from Aviation High School.

Reflecting on the partnership between the airline, its foundation, and the Aviation High School, Steven Jackson, the Principal of the varsity, said that the corporate has been an important supporter of its Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) aviation maintenance technician public highschool, enabling it to supply its diverse students with real-world experiences. Those experiences have allowed Aviation High School’s alumni to earn their FAA licenses and enter the aviation workforce, in keeping with Jackson.
