Sun Country Goes Head To Head With Frontier Airlines In Latest Route Announcement
Sun Country announced latest routes at some point after Frontier announced the identical routes.
Also launching on August eighth are flights to Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) in Latest Hampshire. The airport is positioned 55 miles north of Boston and often serves as a gateway to town for low-cost carriers. The route will help to attach visiting friends and relatives, a key demographic for the airline. Grant Whitney, Senior Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer at Sun Country Airlines, noted how the brand new routes fit into the carrier’s network:
“Sun Country proudly offers nonstop service from MSP to greater than 100 destinations in 2024 giving our customers, and community an unparalleled breadth of destinations for a leisure airline.”

Sun Country might be the one carrier serving the airport pair when its weekly flight begins on August eighth. The airline will face indirect competition from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) with its own each day flight, together with one from JetBlue and multiple each day services from Delta Air Lines.
Profiting from each flight
The airline also runs a major charter operation. To maximise opportunities and forestall empty placement flights, the carrier continues so as to add scheduled service to align with the charter business. An example of that is the addition of limited services to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) starting in March 2024.

“Sun Country is pleased with our diversified business model of scheduled service, charter, and cargo.
“Our unique ability to integrate our scheduled service and charter business is a differentiator that permits us to satisfy our customers’ needs while maximizing efficiency.”
