Dr. Michael Niggemann, Member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG liable for Human Resources and Infrastructure, commented,
With many airlines struggling to address demand resulting from staff shortages, Lufthansa and its subsidiaries don’t need to be caught short. One airline that may profit from that is Brussels Airlines, which can hire no less than 380 recent people, around half of whom will probably be cabin crew members. Brussels also wants so as to add over 60 maintenance and engineering employees and 50 ground staff. Job vacancies could be found on Lufthansa’s profession website – www.lufthansagroup.careers.
No let-up in demand

City Airlines hiring
Lufthansa is within the means of launching a brand new airline – City Airlines – and has already rolled out its recruitment campaign for its upcoming subsidiary. When it launches this summer, City Airlines will serve inter-European routes with Airbus A320-family aircraft.
The carrier received its first Airbus A319 last week, and can eventually operate the A220-300 when the primary airframes start arriving from 2026. Lufthansa plans for its recent subsidiary to operate with as much as 80 aircraft in the long run.

Labor unions haven’t been joyful with the creation of a brand new airline, particularly the way in which during which Lufthansa has favored candidates applying from inside the Group. Pilot union VC said the strategy helps the airline to “circumvent or reduce pricing conditions” by hiring employees under less advantageous contracts than their mainline peers. While VC successfully secured an 18% pay rise for Lufthansa pilots last summer, the deal didn’t include the unlaunched City Airlines.
