Bayraktar TB2 Hits Targets With Air-Launched Skydagger FPV Drones

Baykar dated the Keşan test Wednesday, November 4, 2026. The TB2 took off with 16 Skydagger kamikaze drones, released two, and relayed the operator link that steered those two into designated targets.

Baykar said a Bayraktar TB2 lifted from the Keşan Flight Training and Test Center in Edirne province on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, carrying 16 Skydagger first-person-view kamikaze drones. Over the range it released two. The TB2 then acted as the radio relay so operators, not a ground mast, could fly those two into marked targets.

The company called the hits pinpoint. FPV drones show the operator a camera view from the airframe. The test is an add-on to a type that has been in Turkish Armed Forces service since 2014 and armed since 2015 with laser designation and up to four Roketsan MAM-L or MAM-C munitions.

Key details

  • Sixteen Skydagger drones were loaded; two were expended in the published trial.
  • Baykar said the TB2 fleet passed 1 million flight hours in 2024.
  • Export tally given by Baykar: 36 countries for TB2, 16 for Akıncı, 39 countries across both, $2.2 billion export volume in 2025, about 90% of revenue from exports in recent years.

Baykar said operators independent of the ground steered the two released drones through a TB2 relay and struck the designated targets.

Why it matters

Until now the published TB2 strike kit was the MAM family hung on the wing. An air-launched FPV that still talks through the mothership is a different shot: many small warheads, one relay aircraft, no extra ground antenna on the range.
