Jetstar has inducted its newest Airbus A321neo – the airline’s seventh neo arrived in Melbourne this week and can enter service in the approaching days. Jetstar will welcome 11 more of the next-generation narrowbodies in the following 18 months.
Jetstar takes delivery of one other A321neo
The Australian low-cost carrier announced that its latest Airbus A321neo LR (registration: VH-OFV) landed at Melbourne Airport (MEL) this week following a 20-hour journey from Airbus’ facility at Hamburg-Finkenwerder (XFW).

The efficient narrowbody joins Jetstar’s existing fleet of six A321neos, offering as much as a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and 50% noise reductions on previous-generation aircraft. Jetstar added that its neos have performed at a rate of 99.8% mechanical reliability, higher than the worldwide average.
Jetstar Chief Operating Officer, Matt Franzi, commented,
Jetstar has one other 11 Airbus A321neos on order, with deliveries scheduled through to the tip of 2024, taking it to 18 A321neos in total.
Introducing VH-OFV
Like Jetstar’s other A321neos, VH-OFV is configured in an all-economy layout with seating for 232 passengers. The aircraft will undergo final checks and preparations from Jetstar’s engineering team before it enters service in the approaching days.
